you're damn right there's something wrong

Yesterday I was watching this movie, Alles Is Liefde ("Everything Is Love"...the Dutch equivalent of Love Actually) and I cried.
It wasn't really a sad movie or anything, but there was one scene and I was like "OhMyGod!" and I just started to tear up for no reason XD Alright, it might have had something to do with me feeling a bit down all day, but still it was weird. It has been like, 4 years since I've cried when seeing a movie, haha! I'm not that kind of a sentimental girl. I mean, I didn't even cry while watching My Sister's Keeper, which was supposed to be a tearjerker.

Ok I don't know why I'm ranting about this.

And now something completely different:
At school, I had to hand in an essay on sex education, but I had acidentally written sexual education. Woops! XD

vintage is love. it really is.

I bought a vintage dress and it's blue and it's awesome and it's from the sixties and I love it. :D

That's it. It has a much darker blue in real life.

Yes, I'm capable of fangirling over a dress. KaythnxBai.

Woooooot!!! *insert fangirly squee here*

This might just have made my day. No, scrap that, my week. Or month. Whatever.
I mean, c'mon!!! Deschanel sisters united! Wooooot!
Ok brb, dying of awesomeness.

England called, they wanted their weather back.

Eeeeeps!!! I hear the thunder and the rain is pouring down on our heads!!! Or well, our roofs. The sewer has given up his fight against the water.

I can has snow? Please??

wtf.

Oh God. The Netherlands won the Junior Eurovision Song Festival. I don't know if I have to be happy or sad about that, lol. The thing is, the kid who won is from my town XD The song was aweful though >.<

Ahh well, I'm not a child anymore so I don't think I'm supposed to like it XD

hejhej

Hey guys, I'm back all nice and safely! Stockholm was so very awesome!!!! :D
The only thing was that it rained for four days and also that it went dark at 4 pm, so it felt like it was 8 pm instead of 4. It wasn't possible to take a lot of good pictures, because of the rain and the darkness, so no pics :( We traveled a lot by underground and that was pretty cool, every station had his own theme and they all were very deep underground, it felt like 100 meters or so.
We also went to the Hard Rock Cafe which was the most awesome thing of the whole trip, there were a lot of pictures of cool artists and also guitars and it was just so awesome! :D I took a lot of pictures but it was also dark so the quality is bad.
And I love it that the Swedish people say HejHej when they mean to say Hi and that sounds like everybody is always in a good mood XD

Stockholm

I'm off for five days. Going to Stockholm with school! Yeah Baby! :D
I want to eat Pytt i Panna and Köttbullar and Knäckebröd! 8-)

Bye! In case I don't come back, my plane has crashed.

So long guys, so long!
(And thanks for all the fish)

bookbookboooks

I went to a book fair yesterday and it was huuuge. And pretty cool.
I bought some books, too, of course:

-The Ultimate Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy (5 book set) by Douglas Adams
This is pretty awesome, I've wanted the complete set ever since I read the first part, and now it was pretty cheap. The HG2TG is a movie-edition, which I didn't realise until later because it was wrapped in plastic.
-The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (Movie Edition)
I saw this and I wanted it, because Zooey Deschanel was in it with some cute pics and a small interview. I already had the box set and I had no idea this version was also in the box. Ah well, now I have a nice birthday present for somebody else :)
-Bones: Buried Deep by Max Allan Collins
I already read the CSI books by this writer and I wanted the Bones book too, but I've read some pages and it seems totally OOC. I've read better fanfic :\ Maybe that's because I got the Dutch version and the translation is just bad, I don't know.
-Total Film's Film Guide
Wow. This book is so epic. It's seriously the size of a telephone book. It's a book with all the movies that matter and it has like, 1200 pages of movies. Even some Dutch movies which I didn't expect to be in it. (All Stars, Black Book, Shouf Shouf Habibi)
-Download This!
A book about legal music-downloading, because, let's face it, everybody gets their music legally these days, don't they? *cough*
No, just kidding, but the book has like 600 tips for cool songs with descriptions. I thought it was cool that there is a book with music tips so I bought it.

a moment, a love, a dream, aloud...

Everytime I hear Sweet Disposition by the Temper Trap on the radio it makes me giddy, because it reminds me of (500)DoS. (Doh, it was in the movie. Twice.)
I think it's becoming a hit or something. I've heard it like, four times in two days. And on the television it's a popular tune too, I heard it at least twice. Makes me happy.

Woah this was such a waste of your time and I'm proud of it! :D

ships are not only for sailing

Just watched The Mentalist 2x05.
I got an overdose of shippery-goodness, this is like, the only show in which I ship a canon ship. Okay except for Bones but that's not...really canon. Just yet ;)

A Tiny Red Cut For Spoilers )
Now I'm going to make a list of my ships! Just because I have no life!

Fanmix: Tom/Summer

I made this fanmix because I absolutely adore this couple and I still think it's a shame they didn't end up together in the movie. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that Summer was awesome; she actually was one of the most real women I've ever seen on the screen, and well, my love for Zooey helped a bit, too.

Anyway, the trick with this fanmix is that all the songs are from Dutch bands/artists. I let out the metal bands this time, sorry for that, it just didn't feel right with this couple. For obvious reasons of course! Hey, (500) Days of Summer was the indie-hit of 2009! I can't put metal songs into a fanmix! XD

you can't seem to make up your mind

Lately I have noticed that my music taste is changing. I still love metal but not as much as I used to. I'm more of a rock/indie girl nowadays. Let's just say I broadened my horizons. And I think that is fine as long as I am the same ol' silly girl :)

I'm alone on a bicycle for two

Eeps! My crush on the guy I was talking about got worse. Bad thing is, he can get almost every girl he wants, so he's totally not interested in me. (When was I ever that lucky?) Ah well, I guess I'll just have to keep on dreaming ;)

Okay, some good news: Volume One arrived! And I listened to it and my dad was like: "What? Since when do you listen to this kind of music?" lol. I loved the face he made. But I think he'd like the music, too :)

glee :D

I've been watching the first episodes of Glee. And I love the show, it's so utterly cliché (It's done on purpose, but still) but I love it! The songs are amazing, the characters are great and funny and the stoylines are alright and a tad cliché, too.
In the episode "The Rhodes not Taken" they featured the song "You Make My Dreams" by Hall and Oates. And I love that song. Because it was in (500) Days of Summer as well. And It makes me very happy every time I listen to it.

Yep, I've got another favorite show :)

Something different: I (finally) ordered She & Him's Volume One. It will be here in like, a week :)

CAPITALS CANNOT FULLY EXPRESS MY FANGIRLY JOY!

Today, I went to see (500) Days of Summer. I thought it would be amazing, but I was also a little bit afraid that I would be disappointed because I was so giddy about the movie in advance. Guess what? It didn't disappoint me AT ALL. It was so effin' brilliant, it's hard to describe, you just need to see it yourself!

I will try to describe what I felt while watching the movie, but as I said you need to see it for yourself! ;)

well 'cause you, you make my dreams come true! )

it's a day of "whyyyyyy's"

Whyyyy, whyyyyy did Death Cab For Cutie have to make a song for New Moon?
Don't get me wrong, I love their music, it's more their reputation I'm worried about. You either love or hate the Twilight saga and I feel sorry for the people who love DCFC but don't like the saga.

Also, whyyyyy Zooey Deschanel, whyyyy did you have to marry Ben Gibbard? Don't get me wrong (again) I love the music he makes but you just looked so awkward on pics together. Ah well...

Whyyyy, whyyyyy does my crush have to be so friggin adorable? And whyyyy does he make hairflips?? which I find utterly sexy

random things :D

This post can't get anymore random:

random is my second name! )

I was your friend five minutes ago, and I'm on a train...

I went to a festival yesterday. It was cool. More about the music and people behind the cut.

and then we rocked the night away )

My Sister's Keeper (watch out: rantings about other things too!)

I'm so bloody h.y.p.e.r!!! I went to the cinema to see My Sister's Keeper with two friends. The movie was pretty good, but more about that later.

fangirlyness + a few lines about the movie )
